Years ago, there was a blacksmith in every community or town. He alone had
the tools and knowledge to make and repair all the things necessary for survival
in the early days. As time went on, however, the smith was made almost obsolete
and almost vanished from existense. What a tragic loss this would have been.
Thankfully, this did not happen largely through the efforts of blacksmith groups
such as A.B.A.N.A. and their offshoots. Without them, this generation of blacksmiths
would probably not have been. This is why we should teach the next generation
coming up. If we don't instill this spark this generation will be lost forever.
